Box 30204 Lansing, Mi 48918 Re: FOIA Request On behalf of Progress Michigan and pursuant to Michigan Freedom of Information Act, M.C.L. § 15.231 et seq., | am requesting the following public records: All communications and documents regarding a meeting on October 18, 2018 with John Harris, Manager Driver Record Update Unit regarding voter addresses, including emails between Mr. Harris and his supervisor, Robert Browning. In addition, we request any emails from December 1, 2017 through October 19, 2018 regarding any communications or documentation regarding a departmental error where voter addresses do not match individual driver's license addresses. Please include any attachments that were part of these communications, such as word documents, spreadsheets, PDFs or other types of documents. In addition, please include copies of emails in which anyone on the list was “co-ed” or "bcc-ed.” Pursuant to MCL § 15.234(c), we are requesting documents in an electronic format if available. If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $50.00. However, | would also request a waiver of all fees, because the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and the request is limited in scope. If you deny this request in whole or part, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release specific emails and notify me of the appeal procedures available under the law. Given that over 100,000 voters may be disenfranchised and with the November election only two weeks away, we request expedited treatment of this request including that it be immediately granted and the requested public records be disclosed as soon as possible. With the constitutional right to vote of so many Michiganders at stake, any delay would be inexcusable.
