Our Michigan senators will soon vote on two bills (Senate Bills 303 and 304) that contain the most extreme and restrictive voter identification requirements in the country.

Michigan already has a voter ID law that works. These new bills would serve only to take away options for registered voters.

Our lawmakers in Lansing should be working to break down barriers to voting, not putting up new ones.
