You may have heard about the “Let MI Kids Learn” initiative that is currently collecting petition signatures—but this isn’t the first time Betsy DeVos and her cronies have tried to pass a voucher scheme to defund public schools.

This same program, which would divert hundreds of millions of dollars away from public schools and give it to unaccountable private institutions, also passed through the House and Senate late last year before being vetoed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
